The Colour of Pentecostalism
by Dr Elaine Palmer-Taylor

The Colour of Pentecostalism

The Colour of Pentecostalism: A Black Woman Pastor's Journey Through Pentecostal Fire and Its History written by Rev Dr Elaine Palmer-Taylor.

About the Book

This book is a bold and reflective journey through Pentecostal faith, history, and identity, told through the eyes of a Black British woman pastor leading in a multicultural UK context. It explores the spiritual fire that has shaped generations, while confronting the uncomfortable realities of exclusion, prejudice, and the lasting impact of racialised doctrine and church culture.

Written with honesty, insight, and conviction, The Colour of Pentecostalism is an invitation to see Pentecostalism in full colour: deeply human, richly diverse, and still capable of redemption.

A few words from our Clients

Palmer and Taylor has delivered first class service for us since 2012.   I have recommended  Palmer and Taylor Consultancy to several other organisations, including my own charity, Excell3, a national educational charity.

The service they provided was tailored to ensure it was  aligned  to our values, ethics, and culture. They supported us in developing and delivering a unique  management development Level 5  programme accredited by the Institute of  Leadership.

Dr Cheron Byfield-Shakespeare,

Co-founder and Director, Excell3

Palmer & Taylor Consulting have supported Spectra since 2017, and they have been outstanding throughout. Their work is consistently thorough, professional, and delivered to an exceptionally high standard. We value their support across HR, organisation design, and development.

Beyond HR, they support us with wider business needs including health and safety and compliance. They sit in an advisory capacity as part of our senior leadership team and are strong, reliable contributors who add real value to our organisation.
